Duval lightning protection comes with free warranty. However, it is advisable to check your lightning protection system once a year, especially on the grounding system, because the soil resistance level can change after frequent discharge of lightning current.

Grounding system works by transferring the lightning current at the ground to the earth chamber, and then the earth chamber will function to discharge the current. Therefore, it is recommended to check the grounding system once a year due to the soil resistance level.
WHEN LIGHTNING HAPPENS, WHY MY ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT IS ALWAYS DAMAGED BY LIGHTNING?
All type of electronic equipment are subjected to lightning damage if it is not protected by lightning surge arrestor. To protect them from lightning damage, it should be protected with both Duval Powerline surge arrestor at the main incoming switchboard and Duval Dataline surge arrestor to protect the computer, key phone, home theatre, CCTV and etc.

Frequent tripping occurring during thunderstorms can be due to nuisance tripping, for example, tripping caused by sudden high voltage, and not because of leakage in your electrical switchboard. For this nuisance tripping happening during thunderstorm, it is recommended to install both Duval surge arrestor and Duval RCCB with auto reset system to reduce inconveniences. Any RCCB in a switchboard will trip if leakage power is detected. Previously we have to manually turn on the RCCB when tripping occurs. Now we have Duval Auto Reset which function by automatically turning on the RCCB when tripping occurs. When there is nobody in the house when tripping occur, the electronic equipment such as refrigerator, aquarium water pump, and others will function normally after installing Duval RCCB with auto reset system
